First of the Baby Hats
So gorgeous! I finished these just yesterday and they are unbelievably soft. With 100% cotton they are perfect for baby. My goal with all baby hats is to help fund my original wish: donating to hospitals. Hospitals are a great way to help out, and many knitters and crocheters do this as well. But even with that hospitals are always in desperate need for preemie sized items. Few actually expect a preemie, so when it happens they aren't prepared. Preemie babies often have trouble staying warm, they have some unique needs, and it wouldn't be right to not mention the needs of the parents as well, the comfort a small gift can give them in stressful times. A preemie hat, little booties, mittens and octupus/squid stuffies are often undervalued but in great demand. I pour my heart into these tiny hats in hopes that they can be a cherished item for not just one, but multiple little ones!
