First Hat

So, at this point we hit my backstory of crochet. Both my grandmothers had tried to teach me to crochet as a kid but I never got past the chain. Like many crocheters, I was an expert at making The Longest Snake in the World!

In 2014 I tried to get into it and make more than snake chains. I bought some yarn. I bought some hooks. I watched the YouTubes. And never finished an item.

In 2019 I picked up my hooks again, and with help, figured out my mistakes and accomplished my first item. Well, technically my second. You see, the red 'flower' had been a failed attempt at starting a hat that pringled because I made a couple more learning accidents. Instead of wasting the efforts I made a hat and sewed it on as a flower accent.
